An evening of adventure-packed short films that celebrate the love of the outdoors and inspire audiences to create a better world.

Mountainfilm is a documentary film festival that showcases stories about the adventurous spirit in which inspiring humans tackle immense environmental, cultural and political issues. Each year, the best of these titles tour the country delivering a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring shorts.

This winter you'll meet Lakota teens participating in a traditional horse race, kayakers in Zambia and climate warriors documenting bird migration patterns. These stories are interspersed with eye-popping adrenaline kicks from sky-divers, mountain bikers, and skiers shredding powder at an abandoned resort in Japan.
