Translating Loss: Navigating Data, Art, and Meaning Across Mediums is a series of conversations exploring how information transformed across forms of expression.
Translating Loss: Navigating Data, Art, and Meaning Across Mediums is a series of conversations exploring how information is transformed—and sometimes lost—when moved between different modes of expression. Whether working with visual data, sound, text, or digital archives, participants will share their experiences of adapting, reinterpreting, transposing and preserving meaning across mediums. These sessions aim to foster dialogue, uncover unexpected connections, and develop new approaches to addressing loss in artistic and scholarly practice.
Join us for our first of three conversations with Michael Wyatt, John Bell, and Jacque Wernimont in the Digital Ethnic Futures Lab (Bartlett Hall 204).
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
